Thought for the day...

During today's sermon, Dr. Moebes quoted a wonderful poem that really sums up our purpose as individuals as well as, what should be, our goals...

At day's end, is anybody happier because you passed their way?

Does anyone remember that you spoke to them today?

The day is almost over, and its toiling time is through; Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word to you?

Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast

that you helped a single person of the many that you passed?

Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said?

Does the one whose hopes were fading now, with courage, look ahead?

Did you waste the day or lose it? Was is well or sorely spent?

Did you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent?

As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that He will say,

"You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today?"

This is indicative of our program's philosophy. We'll broach this topic in rehearsal soon. Enjoy your Sunday.

Annoucing their Fall 2008 program...

the Chelsea High School Hornet Band goes Back to Broadway! Featuring the classics "The Heat is On in Saigon" from Miss Saigon, "Masquerade" from The Phantom of the Opera, "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables, and closing with "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl.

The Color Guard of Chelsea High will be reinventing the tuxedo, bringing sparkle and sophistication to the production. Coupled with a radiant selection of silks, the palette will be one to enjoy.

Check back soon for the final costume sketch.

Here are some clips of the selections and their synopsis. Study up and get ready for great season!

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
